Why is there so much hate against libertarians?

Libertarians preach the non aggression principle and apply that logic consistently to the state. This is a principle that everybody agrees with if you ask them personally but when you apply it to institutions and particular political issues it exposes the hypocrisy and violent nature of their own ideologies.
